Research Projects

The Division completed nearly 50 projects funded by the Ministry of Land and Resources, the National Natural Science Foundation, the Ministry of Science and Technology, China geological survey, Sinopec, and programs on basic research and international cooperation of the Institute of Geomechanics in recent years, with the total amount of approximately RMB 40 million yuans.


1. The investigation and evaluation on the Quaternary geology and environment along the eastern margin of the 
    Tibetian Plateau, the geological survey project, 2003-2006, Zhao Zhizhong;


2. Environmental geological survey and geohazard impact of the valley of western Sichuan, the geological survey
    project, 2007 - 2008, Qiao Yansong;


3. Research on the impact of tectonic and climate changes on the Yellow River  system in Late Cenozoic, the geo-
    logical survey project, 2007-2010, Jiang Fuchu;


4. Environmental geological survey and geohazard impact in Yalong river valley, the geological survey project, 2009-
    2011, Qiao Yansong;


5. Construction of the high-resolution Diexi lacustrine strata of Minjiang River valley on the eastern edge of the
    Tibetian Plateau and its short term records of paleoclimate changes, Natural Science Foundation, 2007-
    2009, Wang Shubing;


6. Research on the reliability of M / B polarity transition and the mechanism of remanence acquisition along the
    margin of the Loess Plateau, Natural Science Foundation, 2008-2010, Wang Xisheng;


7. Construction of the high-resolution magnetic stratum between Lower Triassic and the Permian-Triassic boun-
    dary in Yichang, Hubei, Natural Science Foundation, 2006-2008, Sun Zhiming;


8. Reremote sensing on the environmental pollution caused by solid waste in mine tailings, the Science and Techno-
    logy Department and Development Department, Ministry of Land and Resources, 2002-2003, Zheng Daxing;


9. Remote-sensing on a typical orefield environment, the Institute of Scientific Research in the Ministry of Science
    and Technology, 2006-2008, Zheng Daxing;


10. Evaluation on zoning of landslide risk and evaluating criteria setup based on RS technology, 2007 -- 2009,
       Xu Gang.

    tific and Technological Achievement for the Year of 1992, the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources;


2. He Peiyuan, Duan Wanti et al., The Quaternary ice age and environment in Lushan, Second Prize of Scientific and
    Technological Achievement for the Year of 1992, the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources;


3. Wuxi Xihao et al., Chinese loess and East Asian palaeomonsoon, Third Prize of National Natural Science in 1998;


4. Zhao Zhizhong, He Peiyuan et al., The Quaternary ice age and environment in Shennongjia, Third Prize of Scientific
    and Technological Achievement for the Year of 1998, the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources;


5. Professor Yang Zhenyu was selected the 1999 Outstanding Young Talent Plan of National Natural Science
    Foundation;


6. Wang Xisheng and Pei Junling were awarded the Cheng Yuqi Excellent Doctoral Paper in 2005 and 2008 respec-
    tively;


7. Zheng Daxing et al., Survey on active faults along the Tibetian Railway and stress measurement, Second Prize of
    Science and Technology for the Year of 2006, the Ministry of Land and Resources;


8. Zheng Daxing et al., Remote-sensing on the orefield environment pollution was selected as one of the "major scien-
    tific and technological achievements for the 10th five-year plan period of the Ministry of Land and Resources” in 2006.
